Taylor Swift unveils new “Midnights” vinyl variants

Taylor Swift has shared three new vinyl variants for her upcoming eleventh studio album, “Midnights.” The LP is set to be released on October 21.

The new vinyl options, which joined the version previously shared with the original album artwork, include new alternate album covers and different colored discs. The albums will be available for pre-order here until September 7 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Each vinyl will include all 13 songs from the album, one of four collectible covers with unique front and back cover, one new unique marble-colored vinyl record, one collectible album cover that will feature. a new photo of Swift, full-size gatefold photos, and a collectible eight-page lyrics booklet with exclusive new photos.

The new vinyl marble colors will include a Jade Green Edition, a Blood Moon Edition, and a Mahogany Edition, which will join the previously shared Moonstone Blue. The new colors are also available in CD format.

Swift announced the new album at the MTV Video Music Awards. In a post on her Instagram, Swift shared that the album is “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we tread and the demons we face .”

Swift recently released “This Love (Taylor’s Version)” and “Wildest Dream (Taylor’s Version)” from her upcoming “1989 (Taylor’s Version).” The release date for “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” has yet to be revealed. The hit album includes the singles “Shake It Off”, “Blank Space”, “Bad Blood” and “Style”.

The release is part of Swift’s ongoing efforts to re-record her catalog of music to own her own masters. In November, Swift released her version of “Red.” “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” received universal acclaim in April 2021. Swift also released her version of “Wildest Dreams” from 1989, however, there is no set date for the release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version) )”.

Swift recently won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year for her record-breaking album “Folklore.” The album was released as a surprise in July 2020. Swift went on to release another surprise album, “Evermore”, in December 2020.

Taylor Swift holds the record for most Billboard Music Awards wins, with 23. In 2018, her massive Reputation Stadium Tour made history as the highest-grossing U.S. tour of all time, according to Billboard Boxscore. Swift has achieved nine No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart – all with her previous five studio albums. Her album, Billboard 200 No. 1 in 2017, sold 1.22 million copies in its first week in the United States, making Swift the only artist to record four consecutive weeks of sales at a million in the history of Nielsen Music.
