How to watch CD Projekt Red’s 20th anniversary stream today

Can you believe it’s been twenty years since CD Projekt Red started making games? Nope? Well, let’s quickly recall what else happened in 2002 for some perspective: the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, check, the last confirmed sighting of the Yangtze River dolphin, right, SARS begins to spread… okay, let’s just take our hats off to one of Poland’s best-known game developers for now. You can start doing this when the CDPR 20th Anniversary Live Stream kicks off at 3:00 PM BST / 4:00 PM CEST / 7:00 AM PDT today.

If you’re looking for something to keep you busy until The Witcher 4, then Liam really recommends Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

CDPR is famous for The Witcher series, and a bit less so for Cyberpunk 2077, so you can expect to hear something about at least the first one during today’s livestream. You can watch the stream on Twitch on the official CDPR channel here. It will probably also be visible on CD Projekt Red’s YouTube channel, but no official countdown has started yet. It’s also worth keeping an eye on CDPR’s 20th anniversary site.

Today’s stream is just the first in a series, according to a Tweeter of the CDPR. The company says it will start in Vizima, which is the capital of Temeria in The Witcher series. We might hear more about a concrete date for The Witcher 3’s next-gen update, now slated for the fourth quarter of this year. It’s entirely possible, but less likely, that CDPR will discuss the upcoming Witcher game in detail, premiering in April. However, they likely won’t mention the crunch claims while developing Cyberpunk 2077.

The larger CD Projekt group is actually a little older than two decades, originally starting in the 90s when school buddies Marcin Iwiński and Michał Kiciński started importing games to Poland. If you’re interested in the full history of CD Projekt and CDPR, there’s a potted handy guide on their website. I had completely forgotten that there had ever been a Witcher mobile game, for example.

Don’t worry if you miss today’s stream because real life gets in your way. We’ll keep you posted on anything interesting that comes out of it. It probably won’t bother if it’s all fair to announce a Fall Guys crossover.
